Concert Venues Near Rockland County
Spring is finally here, and if you're a music lover, you know that means peak concert season is upon us! Whether you love rock, rap, jazz, or indie folk music, Rockland County is a great place to catch a show. Here are a few of the top music venues our real estate agents suggest checking out this year.
- Turning Point Cafe - 468 Piermont Ave., Piermont, NY 10968
The Turning Point Cafe first opened in 1976, and it has become a mainstay of the jazz scene in the Rockland County area. They are best known for their Monday Night Jazz series. Every Monday at 8:00 pm, you can listen to live jazz by local performers.
The Turning Point Cafe also hosts ticketed concerts and events. On April 27, 2024, you won't want to miss Live at the Fillmore, an Allman Brothers tribute band. - Maureen's Jazz Cellar - 2 N. Broadway, Nyack, NY 10960
Maureen's Jazz Cellar is a small, intimate concert venue where you can listen to jazz, classical, and acoustic music. They even have a piano bar and occasionally host a comedy act. On Tuesdays, they host an open mic night beginning at 7 p.m. Upcoming performances include the Jill McCarron Trio on May 17th and the Tania Grubbs Quartet on May 25th.
Maureen's is a great place to go if you want to enjoy a great meal while listening to music. They have delicious pizza, along with shareable appetizers like grape leaves, meatball marinara, and hot pretzels. - Music on the Hudson - 698 N. Broadway, Upper Nyack, NY 10960
Music on the Hudson is an outdoor concert series held every summer in Nyack Beach State Park. Attendees are encouraged to park at the marina and access the concert area via the footbridge.
Upcoming shows at Music on the Hudson include Dead Meat on June 27th and Frankie Dee on July 11th. This is a lovely opportunity to enjoy some music and fresh air with family and friends. There will be food trucks on-site serving tasty eats. - Cornwall-on-Hudson Bandstand - 250 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520
The Cornwall-on-Hudson Bandstand is a gorgeous outdoor bandstand surrounded by grassy lawns. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to sit on during the venue's seasonal outdoor concerts. These concerts take place every Tuesday night from June through August. The show typically begins at 6:30 pm.
Admission to these concerts is free. They always feature bands in a variety of genres, including folk, pop, jazz, funk, and rock. These shows are appropriate for all ages and are a great opportunity to meet others in the community. - Art Cafe - 65 S. Broadway, Nyack, NY 10960
Art Cafe is primarily a coffee shop that displays and sells artwork. However, they also host live musical performances on Saturdays beginning at 7 p.m. Upcoming performers include Joe Planck and Scott Bravo.
Art Cafe has a very relaxing atmosphere, and many of its shows feature solo performers and acoustic artists. Plan on enjoying some coffee and a snack while you listen. The cafe has a full menu of espresso beverages, along with Apple Chaider, smoothies, and juices. They also have an extensive craft beer list, plus delicious appetizers like puff pastries and torti.
