Rockland County: Pickleball Is Calling Your Name
The popularity of pickleball has grown exponentially in the last few years, and it's easy to see why. The sport is faster to learn than tennis, and its wiffle-like ball is slower moving. There's also less ground to cover on the court. So whether you're a first-timer interested in picking up a new sport or a more experienced player, head out to a local court with some friends or meet new players in an open-play session. The park has six asphalt courts available for pickleball as well as plenty of other activities such as fishing, playing at two 18-hole golf courses, cooling off at a water complex with a huge zero-entrance swimming pool and two large water slides, and enjoying playgrounds, hiking trails, and much more.
