Your Guide to 2025 Holiday Festivals and Events in Bergen County
The holiday season is coming to Bergen County, and our real estate agents couldn't be more excited. Our service area is always buzzing with fun seasonal events this time of year. 2025 is set to be just as lively as years past, and we want to help you enjoy it to the fullest. Here are all the details on five of the hottest upcoming holiday events near our Bergen County homes for sale.
5 Holiday Events for Festive Fun in Bergen County
New Jersey Ballet's The Nutcracker

New Jersey Ballet's The Nutcracker is the longest-running professional dance production in the country, and it's back for another year at the Bergen Performing Arts Center. Watch some of New Jersey's most talented dancers bring the classic Christmas story to life in a performance that will enchant audiences of all ages.
The show will be performed on December 6th and 7th at 1 and 4:30 p.m. each day. It runs for about two hours with an intermission between Acts I and II. Ticket costs range from $45.45 for balcony seats to $77.95 for premium orchestra seating.
French American Academy's Holiday Market
85 W. Demarest Ave., Englewood, NJ 07631
The French American Academy invites you to experience European-style market shopping at their 2025 Holiday Market. Inspired by traditional French holiday markets, this world-class bilingual school near our Englewood homes for sale will host dozens of local vendors with decorated booths for your shopping convenience. Hot wine and hot chocolate will be available for purchase, and fun, family-friendly activities will be offered at some booths.
The market is open to the public and will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 6th. Some of the vendors and activities will be operating indoors, so you don't need to worry about bad weather spoiling your good time.
Bergen County Winter Wonderland

Bergen County's Winter Wonderland is an inclusive month-long event that honors the many different winter holidays celebrated by folks living near our Parasmus homes for sale. Attractions include:
- A Christmas tree lighting, a menorah lighting, and a kinara lighting
- An ice rink
- Blitzen's Bumper Cars, a modified version of the classic amusement park ride that runs on a dedicated ice rink
- A winter market
- A meet-and-greet station where kids can visit Santa
The Wonderland opens on November 28th at Van Saun Park and runs through until January 4th.
Orchard of Lights

Can't get enough of holiday light displays? Demarest Farms' Orchard of Lights is a 32-acre drive-through light show near our Demarest homes for sale that will leave you beaming with delight. Between the illuminated rows of trees, you'll find glowing holiday scenes and characters that flash in time to music played through your car radio. After the half-hour show, visit the Farm Market to do some holiday shopping.
The attraction opens for the season on November 22nd and will run until December 30th, operating from 5 to 9 p.m. each day. Tickets are $35 per car and must be purchased in advance on the farm's website.
The 12Ks of Christmas & 5K/10K
760 Saddle River Road, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663
Support a good cause and get some exercise at the same time by signing up for the 12Ks of Christmas charity marathon. This fun community event supports the many local charities and non-profit organizations working hard every day near our Saddle Brook homes for sale.
You can choose to run or walk:
- A 5K
- A 10K
- A 12K
You can also run a portion of the 12K virtually before race day and complete the last few kilometers in person. All participants get a holiday-themed race bib to wear on the track and a serving of hot cocoa and holiday goodies once they've passed the finish line.
The race starts at 8 a.m. on December 27th and will continue until everyone finishes the distance they signed up for. Costs range from $5 for the virtual 2K to $35 for the 12K Your Way Bundle.
